Weaverville's future is now
Every dollar invested today has an exponentially greater impact.
This is a rare opportunity to invest in initiatives that benefit everyone.
Donating to the Foundation is not just charitable—it’s strategic. It’s an investment in:
Our Local Economy
Supporting local businesses, creating opportunity, and strengthening long-term economic growth for our community.
Our Healthy Community
Building meaningful connections and improving quality of life and connections for residents of all ages.
Our Town
Our town should grow sustainably, in lock step with the evolving needs and desires of our citizens.
WHAT THE WEAVERVILLE
FOUNDATION DOES
Most communities look back and say: “We wish we had protected more, planned better, and invested earlier.”
Weaverville has the chance to do the opposite with your support. Donate today! Please make checks payable to
Weaverville Economic Development Foundation.
The Weaverville Foundation (WF) seeks to encourage growth that enhances—not erodes—what makes this town special.
WF is not a passive fund—it is an active community builder.

Protect What Makes Weaverville Special—Before It’s Too Late
Growth is happening now. Without proactive thoughtful investment from both residents and corporate citizens, communities often lose:
- Walkability
- Open space
- Local character
- Small business vibrancy
WF enables donors to effect change before these qualities are diminished or lost—when impact is most cost-effective, meaningful and transformational.
A High-Impact, Tax-Deductible Investment
Since WF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations are tax-deductible—but more importantly, they are:
- Place-based—see the results in our community
- Leveraged—funds attract grants and partnerships
- Targeted—invested in specific, tangible initiatives
Change Presents New Opportunities
- Hurricane Helene showcased neighbors helping neighbors to repair and improve the greater Weaverville area. Our goal is to harvest this cooperative spirit to make other social improvements.
- The new Advent Hospital presents an abundance of new opportunities for medical services, employment, real estate development, parks, greenways, and more.
- Population growth will create new opportunities to serve parents of young children, seniors and others of all ages.
Public Space Opportunities
There are still large parcels of undeveloped land and potential for additional manufacturing facilities to be repurposed—similar to 115 Reems Creek Road, now known as the Ballcrank Arcade—which will provide many community amenities, regional sports events, and national tourism.
